Brief History

In 1982 John and Susan MacMahon started the South Shore Dinner Club 2 for 1 dining program with only 12 participating restaurants. “In the early days,” remembers Sue MacMahon, “we were competing for kitchen table space with our kids’ school books and homework papers. Quite honestly, we were surprised by our early success and things got a little hectic around our home for awhile.”

Today, the South Shore Dinner Club occupies a suite of offices in Pembroke, Ma. and has sold over 200,000 membership books since 1982. “We now have over 100 participating restaurants plus great deals on car washes, dry cleaners, and movie tickets” reports current owners Steve & Peggy Hebert.
